Police close road in Southampton following an incident
A road remains closed this morning following a serious collision. Police have closed Shirley High Street in both directions between Howard’s Grove and Malmesbury Road. Drivers are being advised to avoid the are and seek alternative routes. Four fire crews from St Mary’s and Redbridge are dealing with the incident and are using specialist cutting equipment to extract a female from a vehicle. Police and Ambulance works are also at the scene. Ambulance paramedics from South Central Ambulance are treating the woman at the scene.
