UPDATE:Man remanded overJodie Chesney Murder

A man has been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Jodie Chesney in Harold Hill. Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 21:25hrs on Friday, 1 March, to reports of a stabbing in a park close to St Neot’s Road in Harold Hill. Officers attended and found Jodie suffering from a stab injury. She was pronounced dead at 10.26pm. Manuel Petrovic, 20, of Highfield Road, Romford, was arrested in Leicester on Tuesday, 6 March. He has been charged with murder and remanded to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 9 March. A male arrested in London on Friday, 8 March on suspicion of murder, remains in custody. A murder investigation launched by detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) continues.
