Teen Stabbed to Death in Shocking SW16 Attack
Police are hunting for witnesses after a fatal stabbing in Prentis Road, SW16. Officers were called to the scene at around 4.15pm on Thursday, 10 June following reports of an attack.
They found a teenage male with a stab wound to the chest. He was rushed to a central London hospital but was pronounced dead at 4.51pm.
Murder Investigation Underway
The Met’s Specialist Crime Command has launched a murder probe. Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley said: “A dedicated team of officers are working tirelessly to find the people responsible for this attack.”
He urged anyone with information to come forward. “Were you on Prentis Road between 4.10pm and 4.25pm? Did you see an altercation or anyone running away?”
Police Seek CCTV and Witnesses
Detectives are appealing to local residents and drivers with dash cams. “If you have CCTV or dash cam footage from the area at the time, it could be crucial to our investigation,” said DCI Jolley.
He added: “We’re open to any information about the murder and assure anyone who comes forward their details will be kept confidential.”
Suspects in Custody as Victim ID Confirmed
Six men and three women are currently in custody, arrested on suspicion of various offences linked to the attack.
Police believe they know the victim’s identity — a teen in his late teens — and have informed his next of kin. A formal post-mortem and identification will take place in due course.
