Armed robbery probe launched after staff are threatened

Cash was reported stolen from a safe during a robbery at the Co-operative supermarket in Ebbsfleet.

The incident took place in Talbot Lane at around 10pm on Sunday 8 December 2019 where two victims inside the shop were threatened and cash was stolen from a safe.

The suspects are described as white men but were wearing balaclavas. They left the shop in a black Mercedes C Class.

Officers investigating the robbery have carried out a number of enquiries including the review of CCTV and forensic opportunities. They are now asking for anyone who was in the area and who may have dash cam footage to get in touch as soon as possible.

It is understood two other vehicles arrived at the shop around that time and may have witnessed the suspects leaving. Anyone with details should call Kent Police on 01474 366149 quoting reference 46/234237/19.
