Pensioner John Underwood remains missing

Last week Police appealed for the public’s help to find missing John Underwood from Abbotts Ann.

The 81-year-old is still missing, and Police have some updated information to release to help with the appeal.

The most recent sighting of a man fitting John’s description was at 1pm on Monday 25 November, when this man was seen walking on Fullerton Road, just before the junction with the A343 Salisbury Road.

Police are now are asking motorists who drove through the village, or used Fullerton Road or the A343 near to Abbotts Ann that day, to please check your dashcams for footage between 10am and 4pm on Monday.

Perhaps you saw him, or captured some footage that could help us locate him.

John is described as:

• White
• 6ft 4ins tall
• Silvery grey hair
• Glasses

He was last seen wearing charcoal grey corduroy trousers, a purple polo shirt, a navy blue sweatshirt and walking boots. He may have also been wearing a blue / grey coloured coat.

John Underwood, who is known as Brian, was last seen at 10.15am on Monday 25 November at an address on Webbs Lane, Abbotts Ann.

He is described as: 6ft 4ins, with silvery / grey hair and he wears glasses. He was last seen wearing charcoal grey corduroy trousers, a purple polo shirt, a navy blue sweatshirt and walking boots. He may also be wearing a blue / grey coloured coat.

Mr Underwood is a keen walker so it’s possible he may have left the area on foot. However officers are keeping an open mind and are appealing for anyone in the Abbotts Ann area or surrounding areas to keep an eye out for him.
