Three brit doctors evacuated from SirreaLeone

Seven Dutch and three British doctors have been evacuated from #SierraLeone for Lassa Fever. Two of them – both Dutch – and a local anesthetist are confirmed cases. The others are said to be “high risk” having been exposed to the disease in Masanga in the northern Tonkolili District.
According to the District Medical Officer in the area, Dr Abdul Mac Falana they were apparently infected as they carried out a surgery on a pregnant woman at the Masanga Hospital early this month. The disease, a cousin to Ebola, is prevalent in Kenema District in the east.
