Detectives investigating the murder of James Amadu in Enfield have made two arrests

An 18-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Both were arrested on Friday, 1 November and will be questioned by Specialist Crime detectives at north London police stations.

Police were called at 1.02pm on Thursday, 31 October to reports of a stabbing at Blossom Lane, Lavender Hill.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. A crime scene was established however no victim was present.

James Amadu, 26, self-presented at a north London hospital suffering from a stab wound a short while later.

He died in hospital at later that afternoon.

A post-mortem examination concluded at Haringey mortuary on Friday, 1 November and gave the cause of death as a stab wound.

The victim’s next of kin have been informed.

Officers from North Area Command Unit investigate. Detectives from Specialist Crime are leading the investigation.

Road closures are in place in Lavender Hill near the crime scene. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
