Witnesses still sought to serious assault in Margate

Witnesses are still being sought after a man was found with serious injuries in Margate.

Officers detained a 28-year-old man from Margate on Saturday 31 August 2019 following the assault that is reported to have taken place in Dane Park just before 5.20am that day.

The victim, a man in his 20s, suffered serious head and leg injuries during the incident. He was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Enquiries were carried out at the scene, including house-to-house calls, speaking with witnesses and reviewing all available CCTV.

The man arrested has been released on police bail until 24 September 2019.
