Murder Probe has been launched following the death of a woman in Ealing

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a woman in Ealing.

Police were called at 1.17pm on Wednesday, 18 September, to a residential address in Haven Green Court, Ealing.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service had attended following concerns about a female resident.

Officers entered the premises and found the body of a 58-year-old-woman; she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A special post-mortem examination was held on Monday, 23 September; the cause of death was found to be head injuries.

The woman’s next of kin have been informed. Formal identification still awaits but officers can confirm the woman is Serafima Meshaka.

There have been no arrests at this time.

The investigation is being led by Detective Chief Inspector Helen Rance, Specialist Crime.

DCI Rance said: “At this stage we don’t know what happened to Serafima, who was sadly found dead in her own home. We would appeal for anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious around the address on the evening of Tuesday, 17 September through to the Wednesday lunchtime when she was found to please come forward.

”At this stage we are keeping an open mind about what happened and any possible motive for this attack.”
