Police launch Stabbing probe after teenager boy found with serious stab wounds on Islington Estate

Police have launched an investigation and a teenager has been rushed to hospital with serious stab wounds. Officers from the Met Police were called to Popham Road in Islington just before 9pm on Wednesday evening and found a male seriously injured.

A crime scene has been established and No arrests have been made. A specialist Police dog was brought in in an attempt to find those involved in the incident A spokesman for the Met Police said : “Officers are responding to an incident in Popham Road, Islington, N1.

Police were called to the area at 8.54pm on Wednesday, 4 September to reports of a teenage boy with multiple stab wounds.

LAS and Hems medics attended, and the teenager was taken to hospital.

Another male at the scene was also found injured.

Neither are believed to be in a life threatening condition.

An area search is being conducted for a suspect[s] and a large cordon is in place between Popham Road and Pickering Road.

No arrests at this time.

A Section 60 is in place for the N1, N5, N7 and EC1 postcode areas of Islington.

This will run until 05.00hrs on 05/09/2019.
