Four charged over Maidstone murder

Four people have been charged by detectives investigating a suspicious death in Maidstone.

A 21-year-old man died in the town centre following a disturbance that took place in the High Street at around 3am on Sunday 25 August 2019. The four arrested individuals were detained on the same morning and the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate has since charged each of them with violent disorder.

The charged people are:

· Yussef Abdi Aweys, 19, of Lightfoot Road, Crouch End, London.

· Darien Thompson-Cox, 21, of Raleigh Road, Hornsey, London.

· Mohamed Abdurahman, 23, of Newland Road, Hornsey, London.

· Nathaniel Small, 22, of Boyton Road, London.

All have been remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 27 August 2019.
