Witness appeal following serious collision near Trafalgar Square

Officers are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision close to Trafalgar Square.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 12.09am on Saturday, 22 June to reports of a red Citroen C4 in collision with a pedestrian on Northumberland Avenue, WC2.

The 29-year-old pedestrian was taken to a central London hospital where he remains in a critical condition. His family have been informed.

The driver stopped at the scene.

Any witnesses – or anyone with any information or dashcam footage – is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8543 5157 quoting reference Cad 49/22Jun.
