Detectives are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a road traffic collision on the M4 in Hayes

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a road traffic collision on the M4 in Hayes today.

Police were called at 7.48am on Thursday, 20 June to the M4, near junction 3, following reports of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle, a man aged 34, was taken to hospital by London’s Air Ambulance.

His injuries aren’t life-threatening but may be life-changing. His next of kin are aware.

The driver of the car was not arrested and is assisting police with their enquiries.

There were no other reported injuries.

Road closures were put in place while emergency services handled the incident.

Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are looking into the circumstances.

They are asking for anyone who has dash cam footage, or who witnessed the collision, to call them on 0208 543 5157
