Man still critical after Enfield stabbing

Detectives investigating an attack that has left a man in a critical condition in hospital are appealing for witnesses and information.

Police were called by London Ambulance Service [LAS] at 3.30pm on Saturday, 15 June, to reports of an injured man at North Square, N9.

Police, LAS and London’s Air Ambulance attended. At the scene a 45-year-old man had suffered a stab wound to the chest.

He was taken to a north London hospital where his condition remains critical but stable.

Detectives from Enfield CID investigate. There have been no arrests at this time.

Detective Chief Inspector David Kennett of Enfield and Haringey CID said: “I am very keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or has information.

“We are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry including the study of CCTV footage taken from venues close to the scene.

“We know that the victim was attacked by five males at a heavy footfall area on a Saturday afternoon. I am confident that people saw either the events leading to the incident, the stabbing itself, or the immediate aftermath. I need to hear from those people and I urge them to come forward.”
