Police were called at 9.30pm on Tuesday, 4 June to Clapham Road, junction with Clitheroe Road Lambeth, following reports of a firearms discharge.
Officers attended with armed officers as support.
At 9.46pm officers were alerted to a 24-year-old man who had presented at a south London hospital suffering from a gun shot wound to the leg.
He is being treated – we await an assessment of his condition.
Officers are working to determine whether he is linked to this incident
Enquiries into the full circumstances continue.
A crime scene is in place.
A shell casing has been recovered.
At this early stage there have been no arrests.
