A Sandown man has appeared before the Island Magistrates court accused of the brutal murder of
73-year-old Gerry White, who was found dead in woodland on Monday 27th May.
Jonathan Stasiuk, 60, from Sandown has appeared in court this morning (Thursday) accused of the murder of 73-year-old Gerry White in Lake on the Isle of Wight.
Stasuik dressed if a grey sweat top and tracksuit bottoms confirmed his name and stated that he understood the charge before Magistrates in the short ten-minute hearing.
The court heard Jonathan is accused of murdering former local councillor Gerry White at Lake Community Gardens on Bank Holiday Monday (27th May 2019) that remains sealed off and guarded by officers after the grim discovery of Mr White body was found by a dog walker.
Stasuik will who did not apply for bail was remand in custody to next appear at before Winchester Crown Court on Monday 3rd June 2019.
