Mindless Vandals target vehicle in Eastleigh

An Eastleigh based company DA Training and Consultancy providing key services and delivering free qualifications to Hampshire people who are facing redundancy so they have better chances of securing employment or moving into self-employment, are today weighing up the costs of damage caused to their beloved car named by staff as ‘Sheila’(Pictured).

The Renault Twizy was left parked on Friday 19th April, in the car park at the company’s HQ at Wessex House, Upper Market Street, Eastleigh and was vandalised that night.

The fun and unique Twizy attracts attention wherever she goes, tells Company’s Managing Director Lorna Carter-Blake.

She is a huge part of our marketing programme through everyday use and by taking her to events we attend and host. Without her, there is a huge hole in our marketing campaign and therefore income to the business. We are a local, small family run business who are not able to absorb large financial deficits (reduction in income, the expense of repairs, loss of no claims bonus etc).

The company rely on this eco-friendly car which takes staff to and from meetings, so the inconvenience of the car being off the road is beyond disruptive to our diary of meetings. and marketing activities.

Lorna says “she is like another member of our team and can regularly be seen in our social media posts.”
With it coming to the end of the academic year, this is our busiest time of the year for advertising Apprenticeships. Without our main marketing tool, this will absolutely be detrimental to the business’ growth and success in the academic year 2019/2020.
