The latest in the Perry Cardy Murder

MURDER INVESTIGATION OF SOUTHAMPTON BITTERNE MAN, PERRY CARDY, 52.

Hampshire and iow News – Exclusive.

What we know so far;

⦁ 9pm on Friday 19th April 2019, Perry Cardy, 52 (As Pictured) was out drinking with friends at The Bittern Pub on Thornhill Park Road.

⦁ 9.50pm that same night, an attack takes place in which Perry Cardy takes a fatal Blow to the head, he is witnessed staggering out where he collapsed on a stairway.

⦁ Approximately at 10pm Witnesses called for an Ambulance and also Police were informed.

⦁ Ambulance arrives followed by the Police shortly after call, Perry Cardy is rushed to Southampton

⦁ Police open scene and the Bittern Pub is cordened off.

⦁ Police open scene and the Bittern Pub is cordoned Major crime team and question witnesses for accounts of the events.

⦁ Perry remains in a serious condition – family
contacted by police.

⦁ CCTV Is reviewed and suspects are identified. Work continues on the investigation.

⦁ Detectives reveal 27-year-old named as Harry Joyce has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

⦁ Armed Police carried out an early morning raid on Saturday 20th April 2019 at a property in Tannerville Road Southampton before arresting a 39-year-old David Jenkins on suspicion of conspiracy to murder Perry.

⦁ Facebook posts from the second suspects come to light stating ” Me and my main man tonight, you aint got nothing on us 👊🏻”

⦁ A force spokesman said: “Detectives from our Major Crime team are investigating after a man died today Sunday, April 21, following an attack in a Southampton pub.

⦁ “Perry Cardy was assaulted in the Bittern pub in Southampton, at around 9.50pm, Friday 19th April 19.

⦁ Perry Passed away On Sunday 21st April 2019, Police spokesperson issue further details: “The 52-year-old from Thornhill Park Road, the same road where the pub is located, was taken to Southampton General Hospital suffering from serious head injuries and sadly died this morning.”

⦁ Police issue a further statement: We’re appealing for witnesses after a man died in an attack in the Bittern Pub, Southampton.
52-year-old Perry Cardy was attacked on Friday, April 19 at the pub in Thornhill Park Road but sadly died this morning at Southampton General Hospital from his injuries.

⦁ Two suspects remain in custody being quizzed by detectives.

The 52-year-old from Thornhill Park Road, the same road where the pub is located, was taken to Southampton General Hospital suffering from serious head injuries and sadly died this morning.

Two men, aged 27 and 39, have been arrested in connection with the incident.

We’re now appealing for anyone who saw the incident who hasn’t yet spoken to police or has any information about what happened to call 101 quoting Operation Bonham.

We’d also like to hear from anyone who has footage from their mobile phones of the assault.

Detective Inspector Lee Macarthur from the Major Crime team said: “We want to hear from you if you were in the Bittern Public House, Thornhill, Southampton on the evening of Friday, April 19?
“You can either call us on 101 or use the link below to directly submit information to the investigation team.

“Any information you have may be relevant, no
matter how insignificant it may appear to be. If you have any video footage or pictures then please upload them using the link”.
