Murder probe launched after man dies In East London stabbing

A murder investigation has been launched after a man was fatally stabbed in Leyton.

Police were called to North Birkbeck Road, E11 at 4.26pm on Wednesday, 6 March following reports of a stabbing.

Officers, London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance attended a found a man suffering from knife injuries.

The man, believed to be aged in his mid-twenties died at the scene at 5.10pm.

Police are in the process of informing his next of kin.

No arrests have been made. A crime scene remains in place. Enquiries continue.

A post-mortem examination will take place in due course. Formal identification awaits.

The Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating and appealing for witnesses to come forward.
