Major search for missing 81-year-old vulnerable woman from Horsley

Officers from Surrey police are appealing for the public’s help to find an 81-year-old woman missing from Horsley, as we are extremely concerned for her safety.

Jennifer Lewis was last seen in West Horsley at 10.40pm yesterday evening (5 March), when a family member left her home address.

She is described as white, approximately 5ft tall, of a medium build and walks with a stoop. She was last seen wearing a grey cardigan, beaded necklace, dark brown trousers, and is believed to have taken a small suitcase with her.

Inspector Neil Lancaster, of the West Surrey Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We are extremely concerned for Jennifer’s welfare and would ask that if anyone sees her, they contact us immediately.

“The weather conditions are extremely wet so she may have taken shelter so I would ask that local residents check their gardens in case she has taken shelter there.
“Could anyone who lives in the West Horsley area with CCTV, please check their footage from 10.40pm yesterday evening.

“We do not believe that Jennifer has taken any belongings with her such as a phone, money, or medication and we are extremely concerned for her safety.

“The National Police Air Service has been out helping us look for Jennifer this evening, and officers are continuing to carry out house to house enquiries to try and find Jennifer.”

Anyone who has seen Jennifer, or has information that may help officers to find her, is asked to contact Surrey Police urgently on 101 (999 in an emergency) quoting reference PR/45190023768.
