US Air Force C130 declares emergency asking to be met by the fire service

A US Air Force Hercules has this evening squawked an emergency over the airwaves. The C130 made the on an emergency squawk over Shrewsbury just before 9.35pm on Thursday evening.

Following the distress call a radio request was made to be met by emergency services and the fire sefvice as they attempt to make an emergency landing.

It’s understood the that pilot of C130 is going to attempt to land at RAF Mildenhall just outside Cambridge.

It is currently unclear what has caused the pilot to declare an emergency onboard the multi million pound plane.
