Shocked friends and neighbours have paid tribute to a woman who has sadly passed away at a property in Newport on the Isle of Wight on Monday.
Police and other emergency services were called just after 11.30am on Monday to Highfield Road in Newport.
A friend of the woman in her 30’s has named her as Natalie Hooper who had a son.
The son is being cared for by officers and Natalie’s mum.
The distressed friend who broke down at the scene said Natalie had been doing so well.
Detectives from the Major crime team from Hampshire Constabulary have been put in charge of trying to find out the cause of Natalie’s death that is being treated as unexplained.
A specialist scenes of crime officer has spent most of the morning at the property. A number of items have also been removed from the woman’s property.
A spokesman for Hampshire Constablary said:” They were called to an address on Highfield Road in Newport on Monday 25th February following the sudden death of a woman aged in her thirties.
“The death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious.
“A file will be prepared for the Coroner in due course.”
