Emergency Services called to Sunset Close in Freshwater for a second time in less than 24 hours

Emergency service have been called to Sunset Close in Freshwater for a second time in 24 hours.

Police raced to the address after a second call was received to say that a man had a substance thrown into his face.

The incident comes less than 12 hours after a targetted attack was carried out on the man’s property. Police have since revealed.

The man has been treated by Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance service. A second probe into the new attack has been launched. After it’s understood some sort of paint had been thrown.
Police have confirmed that A58-year-old man from Freshwater area has been arrested on suspicion of assault, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and arson with intent.
