Shanklin woman admits unlawfully and maliciously wounding her husband

A Shanklin woman has pleaded guilty at the Isle of Wight Crown Court to a charge of unlawfully and maliciously wounding her husband.

Joanne Wraxton, 48, of Green Lane, appeared at the Isle of Wight Crown Court today (Monday, January 28th).

Wraxton faced one charge of grievous bodily harm on Kenneth Wraxton without intent, on December 1. The court heard that Wraxton attacked her husband with a knife. Kenneth was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital for with life-changing injuries following the domestic

Accepting her Guilty plea Recorder Marcus Pilgerstorfer extended Wraxton bail and ordered that a pre-sentence report be prepared with all options being looked at by the Probation Service. Wraxton will appear for sentence at a later date.
