Emergency services are dealing with a medical emergency onboard the Yarmouth to Lymington ferry.
UKNIP understand that the ship’s engineer has fallen down a set of steps into the ships engine room.
An ambulance has been requested to attend Lymington ferry terminal where Wight Light is currently being held.
The injuries to the chief engineer are currently unknown.
A spokeswoman for Wightlink said: “Due to a medical emergency on board one of the fleet some sailings from Lymington to Yarmouth have been cancelled”.
