Two dog owners walking their five small dogs rescued by Cowes Lifeboat

Two dog owners walking their five small dogs (one in a pram as it has a leg injury) were cut off by the incoming tide this afternoon.

The group had walked westwards from Thorness Bay and on return found the beach at the headland under water.

The lifeboat crew soon arrived on scene and took them all back to Thorness beach where they are staying at the holiday park. Crew, people and dogs were met by members of Needles Coastguard.

This is the second dog rescue in recent weeks that the Cowes lifeboat and it’s crew have been involved in.
