Police confirm attempted Armed Robbery at Waterlooville Book Makers

Officers from Hampshire Constabulary have launched and confirmed that they are investigating an attempted robbery at Betfred in The Precinct, Waterlooville, at about 8.45pm last night (Tuesday 4 September).

The person in the CCTV threatened a member of staff with a claw hammer and demanded access to the safe.

The suspect was chased out of the shop by a customer after the staff member said she didn’t have access to the safe.

While the suspect’s face is covered, we’re sharing the image as we think somebody may be able to identify the suspect from the clothing.
