UPDATED: Emergency Services Mobilsed to West Wight entrapment following Collision

Four Fire Crews have been mobilised to Persons reportedly trapped following a collision in the West Wight this evening.

Fire appliances from Ventnor, Newport and Shanklin along with an officer have been mobilised to the incident just before 8.50pm on Tuesday evening.

Firefighters have been called to Chale View Car Park on Blackgang Road in Niton to help extricate a number of the people who are trapped following the collision involving a small vehicle. A number of people are understood to be trapped in the vehicle. Their injuries or condition is currently unknown. A road closure has been put in place. Paramedics from the Isle of Wight ambulance service and Officers from Hampshire Constabulary are also present at the incident

UPDATE: 9.32pm Firefighters have cut free one person from the vehicle they are being treated by Paramedics from the ambulance service a second casualty who was also in the vehicle is also being treated by a second ambulance crew. Firefighters are making the scene and the vehicle safe.
