Police have launched a search for a missing sex offender who was last seen at his supervised living accommodation at about 9.45pm on Sunday, September 22 and hasn’t been seen since.
Leonard is described as a white man, 5ft 9-10ins tall, of a heavy build and has short grey hair. He also has a missing front tooth.
He lives in Lordshill but has links to Poole in Dorset.
He suffers from schizophrenia and we do not believe he has his medication with him, which could cause him to act in an unreasonable manner.
Leonard is managed under the multi-agency public protection arrangements. He has no recent history of offending however he was convicted of a sex offences 2001, and in 2006 was convicted of sexual activity with a child. He has served sentences for these offences and is managed in supervised accommodation.
Detective Chief Inspector Dave Brown said: “We really need to know where Leonard is. Have you seen him or do you know where he might be?
“We don’t believe he has his medication with him, which could seriously affect his mental health, so we need to know where he is as a matter of urgency.”
Members of the public are advised not to approach Leonard if they see him, but to call police on 999.
