Witness appeal following serious collision in Snodland

Kent Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Snodland.

The collision occurred shortly before 12.45am on Sunday 9 September on the A228 Snodland bypass at the junction with Sortmill Road.

The collision involved a blue Audi S4, a blue Scania tipper/tanker and a silver Peugeot estate. The driver of the Peugeot suffered serious injuries. He has been taken to a London hospital.

Officers from the Kent Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the incident.

Detective Constable Aaron Hammond said: ‘We are appealing for any witnesses who saw the collision or have dash cam footage of it, to contact us.’

‘We would also like to hear from anyone who saw or who has dash cam footage of the vehicles being driven before the collision.’

A 33-year-old man from the Snodland area has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving while under the influence of drink or drugs. He is currently in police custody.
