The M4 in Berkshire is closed eastbound between J13 (A34) and J12 (Theale), due to a serious collision resulting in an overturned vehicle. Thames Valley Police are on scene and managing this incident.
Drivers are advised to follow the “Hollow Circle” diversion symbol leaving the M4 at J13. At the roundabout, take the third exit and join the A34 southbound towards Newbury. At the A34/A339 Interchange, follow the A339 to Newbury. At the A339/A4 roundabout, take the second exit and join the A4 ‘London Road’. Continue along the A4 for approximately 12.5 miles to re-join the M4 eastbound.
UPDATE: 03.10am. All emergency services remain in attendance on the M4 eastbound at what is being described as a serious collision. The closure between J13 and J12remsind Preparations are being made to release traffic caught up in the closure.
