Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was found seriously injured in Brockenhurst yesterday (Saturday 1 September).
Officers from Hampshire Constabulary were called to Mill Lane, close to the junction with Vinneys Close, at around 10:50am following the discovery of the cyclist.
The 81-year-old man, from Fawley, had serious head injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.
Investigations into how the man came off his bike are ongoing and officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at around that time.
PC Richard Miell, from Totton RPU, said: “We are trying to establish exactly how this man came to suffer these injures.
“Were you in the area between 10am and 12pm? Did you see this cyclist or the events leading up to him being found injured?”
