Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision near Steventon.

Today at around 6.35am, a silver Toyota Yaris collided with a tree in Milton Hill near to Q Garden Centre.

The driver, a 21-year-old man, was airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital after suffering life changing injuries and remains in hospital at this time.

Investigating officer PC Darren Baker of the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing, based at Abingdon police station, said: “I would like anyone with information about this collision to get in touch.

“In particular, we believe a woman stopped to talk to the injured man but left before police arrived, and we would really like to speak to her.
