A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident in Romford.
Officers were made aware of footage circulated on social media of an incident involving a car that was believed to have taken place in the Romford area.

The footage was reviewed and enquiries established that the incident happened on Chandlers Way at approximately 3.30am on Sunday, 19 August.

No allegations were made at the time however on Tuesday, 21 August officers received reports of a damaged vehicle on Durham Avenue.

Officers attended and recovered a grey Ford Focus which is believed to have been involved in the incident.

A 24-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and taken to an east London police station for questioning.

Detective Inspector Dean Grafton said: “Although we have made progress with our enquiries, we are keen speak to anyone who has information and to hear from any victims who may have been hurt during the ordeal.

“This is believed to have been an isolated incident and we’re working hard to establish what happened in the lead up to the attack.”

“I would urge anyone with information to get in touch as soon as possible.”
