Shocked Friend’s have revealed that Lucy’s mum Stacey White allegedly allowed the prime suspect who remains in custody and being quizzed by Police to be in a relationship with her daughter despite the fact that she was only 13-year-olds and he was 24. Care worker Stephen Nicholson remains in custody at Southampton Police station and has been grilled by officers from Hampshire Police major crime team since she went missing and failed to return home on Thursday evening. Officers have been given extra time as the searches continue for the murder weapon and clothing less than a mile from the mum’s home.
The murder is portraying hallmarks of the Tia Sharp Murder: The victim was a 12-year-old girl, Tia Sharp, was reported missing from and later found dead in the home of her grandmother in New Addington, London, in August 2012. After her body was discovered, police arrested her grandmother, Christine Sharp, Christine’s then-boyfriend, Stuart Hazell on suspicion of murder. Hazell was charged with Tia Sharp’s murder on 12 August.
Five days into his trial at the Old Bailey in May 2013, Hazell changed his plea from not guilty to guilty. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with the judge setting a minimum term of 38 years.
Stacey White shares the property with her partner and Nicholson after he befriended her at work and explained he needed somewhere to live. Once he moved in it is understood that he started to groom her daughter Lucy and he built a special bond with her whilst living in the home in Mansel Road in Southampton.
The mum knew that the pair were in a relationship and let it go on behind closed doors as long as it was out in the public arena. A family friend who asked not to be named revealed that the pair were allowed to sleep in the same room together and even to the point in the same bed. She (The Mum) was and has let him groom her and did nothing to stop him. She is as bad as he is said the friend. Further shocking details have also been released by friends that Nicholson was at home with White burning clothing in the back garden whilst Police were out searching for her missing daughter on Thursday prompting his arrest.
Hampshire Police have been approached for comment.
