£70k Police BMW X5 Rammed by Stolen Motor home in Surrey

A £70,000 Surrey Police BMW X5 has been written off following a pursuit between two counties this afternoon. The Surrey Roads Policing X5 were part of a group of officers carrying out a TPAC to stop on the stolen motor home.

Kent Cops tracked the vehicle in Warlingham and started to pursue the driver and a second person on board. The vehicle failed to stop and moved into the Surrey Police area.

The vehicle was tactically stopped and 1 of 2 occupants detained and has since been arrested. Not before the driver rammed the Police BMW.

Luckily the officer on-board escaped serious injury.
More than can be said for the vehicle the officer was travelling in. Several other vehicles were involved but are not understood to have been damaged. One man remains in custody.
