Three burglary suspects have been detained after a police pursuit in Maidstone

At around 12.30am on Friday 11 May Kent Police officers, who were on patrol in the county town, became suspicious of a vehicle that was being driven in Wat Tyler Way, Maidstone.
Following enquiries, officers were made aware that this vehicle had been reported stolen from a burglary in Kimberley Road, Gillingham.
This vehicle, a Vauxhall Vectra, is then reported to have failed to stop when requested to do so and a pursuit was authorised.
The pursuit came to an end in Royal Engineers Way following the successful and safe use of a stinger, which deflated the suspect vehicle’s tyres and brought the car to a stop.
The following arrests were then made:
· An 18-year-old man from Gravesend.
· A 19-year-old man from Orpington.
· A 17-year-old boy from Strood.

They all remain in custody as enquiries continue.
