The M3 in Surrey has been Closed eastbound between Junction 2 for the M25 and J1 A316 / A308 Staines Road (Sunbury) due to a serious traffic collision. Drivers should use the M25 J13, then the A30 and A308. Officers from Surrey Roads Policing at scene with our traffics officers from Highways England.
Police with the help of Highways have had to put in a further closure to the slip road from the M25 clockwise at J12 to the M3 eastbound due to a traffic collision. The Two lanes are also closed on the M3 eastbound carriageway.
The Collision is involving a Silver Mercedes that has collied with the Central reservation on the eastbound side. All emergency services are at the scene. Officers form Surrey Police remain.
UPDATE: 1220 A Surrey Fire and rescue Service spokesman said that they where called just after 11.25am on Friday 13th April. Crews from Camberley,Woking and Staines attended the incident. No-one was trapped and crews carried out scene safety of a single vehicle. They have now left the incident returned to home station.
UPDATE:1250 Police have said As a result the M3 is totally closed northbound from the M25. They are working as quickly as possible to get the road reopened. They have said the closure should be lifted in time for rush hour
