A 34-year-old man from Basingstoke has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He is currently in police custody.
An investigation was launched after the body of a man was found in Russell Howard Park in South Ham, Basingstoke, shortly before 1.30am on Tuesday 20 February.
A post-mortem examination has confirmed that the 41-year-old, of St Peter’s Road, Basingstoke, was killed by a single stab wound to the chest.
Officers will remain in the South Ham area today while enquiries continue.
