The craziest comedy partnership on the stand-up circuit, the Raymond and Mr Timpkins Revue, are set to appear in a major new TV show recorded this Spring.
The dysfunctional duo, hailing from Gosport and Fareham, will appear live at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival in March on a massive stand-up bill to be recorded for television.
Old Etonian and scholar of Oxford (cough) Mr Timpkins and his unhinged nephew, Raymond, have become a firm, and much-loved, feature of the comedy circuit with their madcapped onstage antics and hilarious take on popular music and misheard song lyrics.
Now the pair – who describe themselves as “specialist purveyors of sandal-based choreography solutions” – are set to receive the recognition they so rightly deserve when they feature on the ‘Comedians at the Kings’ series, recorded at Glasgow’s opulent Kings Theatre.
‘Comedians at the Kings’ brings a generation of legends, already known to devoted comedy fans, to a wider audience with the recording of this brand new major television series.
Every comic on the show has over a quarter of a century of experience headlining the UK’s biggest gigs – this unprecedented comedy gala will showcase some of the greatest working comedians in the UK.
This comedy masterclass will also showcase the talents of Richard Herring (of cult show Lee & Herring), Ninia Benjamin (of 3 Non Blondes fame), Jo Caulifeld, John Moloney, Fred Macaulay and many more.
The series is being filmed by Edinburgh-based Dabster Productions and is expected to air in the Autumn.
