A Flybe aircraft has carried out an emergency landing at Belfast Airport with the front nose gear up. The aircraft spent the past two hours in the air burning fuel to reduce weight before carrying out the emergency landing, the aircraft declared an emergency . just after 12.30 on Friday morning. It is understood that the plane has landed on the runway with no front wheel and the runway at Belfast is now closed whilst emergency services attended to the plane.

It is currently unknown if their are any injuries to those involved onboard the aircraft.vThe Flybe Bombardier Dash 8 took off from Belfast International at 11.20am The pilot declared an emergency after noticing an issue with the nose gear The aircraft, which can carry 78 passengers, burned fuel for some two hours. The aircraft landed with the nose gear up on the main runway at 1.43pm.
We understand from Airport sources that Runway 25 closed, fire services on scene.
A statement from Flybe said: ‘We are aware of an incident involving one of our aircraft. We are getting more information and we will provide further updates as soon as we can.’
