The driver of a 450K Ferrari 485 has been arrested following a six-car crash in Croydon last night (November 6).
Emergency services were called to Gravel Hill, Addington at 6.55pm on Tuesday.
A police source has said that the driver had been speeding around Croydon and Addington a lot but he (The driver) knew if we tried to chase him we weren’t going to catch him. People last night said that the driver was racing when he crashed the hired supercar.
A spokeswoman for the Met Police said: “At the scene a red Ferrari had been in collision with a Toyota car which resulted in collisions involving six vehicles, including an Lorry.
“Seven people were injured as a result of the collisions, a number of whom were taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service. “None of the injuries were life threatening.”
The driver of the Ferrari, a local 35-year-old man, was also taken to hospital for treatment for a minor injury.
He was arrested when he was discharged on suspicion of Dangerous Driving and remains in custody at a Croydon police station at this time. Enquiries continue.
