A school boy has been rushed to hospital by ambulance with life changing injuries after he was struck by a car this evening.
The 11 year local boy was struck by a black Audi TT on Sanford Street in Southwark South East London. The collision has left a bullseye on the windscreen of the vehicle.
Police cars have blocked both ends of the road whilst an investigation is carried out.
Police have said they where called just after 7.30pm to the single vehicle incident. The road has been closed at the junction with Grinstead Road in both directions whilst police officers carry out their investigation.
Local bus services in the area have been put on a diversion whilst they carry out the investigation.
