Police are currently assisting colleagues from the fire service at the scene of a large fire at Weybridge Hospital.
The fire broke out at the building in Church Street just after midnight.
No one has been injured as a result of the blaze although a large number of residents have been evacuated. Roads around the building, including Weybridge High Street, have been closed and are likely to remain so for some time.
A large number of resources from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service are continuing to tackle the blaze which is now under control.
An investigation is underway to establish the cause of the fire which remains unknown at this time.

A spokesperson for Surrey Council said : Surrey Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire at Weybridge Community Hospital at 23:59 on Tuesday night and has been on scene dealing with the blaze overnight.
Eight fire engines were sent to fight the fire along with two aerial ladder platforms and three water carriers – a number of crews remain at the scene.
The fire has spread across all three floors of the building but there are no injuries and all residents in the local area have been evacuated to the Weybridge Centre in Churchfield Road.
An investigation will take place into the cause of the fire once the incident is over.
