Arson Probe launched after Villiage Hall Gutted by Fire in Chessington

Police and the fire service have launched an arson probe after a disused village hall near to Chessington World of adventure was left gutted by fire this afternoon. Fire Crews from London And Surrey where called to the incident just after 4pm this afternoon. It is understood that the blaze is being treated as unexplained and the fire service are working with Police to establish a cause

London Fire Brigade have said , 35 fire fighters were called to the incident which destroyed the entire building. More than 35 separate calls were made to the fire crew which began at around 3pm.

The cause of the fire is “under investigation”.
