Three people have been extricated by emergency services this evening after their purple BMW came to rest down the embankment.
Emergency crews from South Central ambulance services and the police were called just after 5pm January 8th, to the north bound carriageway of the A3 near Liss and Hazardous Area Response Team along with three ambulances and a officer, along with support from Hampshire Fire and Rescue used specialist cutting equipment to free those who were trapped. A specialist support unit was called from Cosham to help cut free those who were trapped

One lane of the A3 was closed and remains closed whilst the operation of recovering the vehicle takes place. traffic is reported to slow in the area as those driving north approach the scene.
