Can you help find Missing Albert Alt from Bournemouth

Police in Dorset are appealing for the public’s help to trace an elderly man who has gone missing from his Bournemouth home.

Albert Alt, 84, was last seen by a family member at 6pm on Friday 16 December 2016 at his home in Seafield Road in the Tuckton area. She was due to see him yesterday evening but Albert was not there. He was reported missing to Dorset Police at 8.42pm yesterday, Monday 19 December 2016.

Saturday and Sunday newspapers are at his address, so it is believed that Albert has gone missing some time from the afternoon of Sunday 18 December 2016.

Albert has not taken his mobile phone, glasses and hearing aid.

He is described as white, five feet eight inches tall, of slim build and with grey hair. He is likely to be wearing black Reebok trainers, possibly grey tracksuit bottoms, a navy blue wax jacket and a navy blue wax cap.

Searches are underway in the Bournemouth area for Albert.

Chief Inspector Steve White, of Dorset Police, said: “It is very unusual for Albert to go out at night and we are extremely concerned for him.

“I would urge anyone who has seen Albert or a man matching his description given to please contact Dorset Police immediately.

“Finally, if Albert sees this appeal I would urge him to please make contact so we know he is safe. Your family are very worried about you.”
