Police close M27 Westbound between Junction 12 and Junction 11 in Portsmouth Following a collision

Police have closed the M27 Westbound to traffic following a collision. Traffic is stationary and queuing back to Junction 12. The incident happened just before 10pm this evening.

There is approximately 4 miles of stationary traffic in all three lanes of the westbound carriage before the closure and off slip at Fareham. Two lanes were closed for overnight works but the remaining lane has been closed by Police to assist with recovery and for the people involved to be treated by ambulance. It is believed that two vehicle have been involved in the collision. The injuries to the drivers and those involved are not thought to be serious. The vehicle have since been recovered by Boarhunt Garage and traffic is slowly starting to move again
